We encourage you to sign up HERE for the adoption merger meetings listed on this page. Options for in-person* and virtual (Zoom) meetings are provided to encourage the inclusion of everyone. Here are descriptions of the meetings and a guide to help you determine which of them to attend:
Q and A Session:* (One meeting offered on October 22): Attend this Q and A Session if you have questions remaining, after attending one of the Vision Gatherings, for the lead pastors, Merger Team members, adoption consultant, and Board members regarding any aspect of the adoption merger.
Merger Conversation and Business Meeting:* (One meeting on October 26th, hopefully with a simulcast): Pastors Denise Douglas and John Rosensteel will share a conversation regarding their perspectives on the merger opportunity for a “Better Together Story” for Mt. Scott and New Hope congregations becoming one. Business Meeting: Action items will be explained to the congregation and ballots will be distributed. Ballots are due returned to Mt. Scott Church offices by November 6.
*Masks will be required at all meetings and temperature checks will be administered. Seating will incorporate social distancing and hand sanitizer will be available. Attending are asked to maintain social distance prior to and following the meeting to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please take precautions to ensure the health of those in attendance, and refrain from coming if you are not feeling well.
